Stoltz Sports Center

The Stoltz Sports Center is connected to McCormick Gymnasium. Stoltz was expanded during the summer of 2015 with the addition of a Student Section expected to seat nearly 400 Spartan fans. Jon Davison Court received a new look as well with a new two-tone stain giving the playing surface an updated look. In 2008, the renovated building became the competition gymnasium for basketball, wrestling, and volleyball contests. The lower level of the center is home to the Knox Coit classroom, raquetball courts, equipment storage, and locker rooms. Coaches offices are on the upper level of this building

Built in 1989, the sports center was made possible through the efforts and generosity of alumnus Charles E. Stoltz and other dedicated UD alumni and friends. Mr. Stoltz is a prominent Dubuque and Omaha meat packing entrepreneur. Stoltz Center approximately doubled the size of the gymnasium and recreational facilities at the university.
